• We are honoured to host this exhibition of Nancy Ma’s ceramic work entitled “Women Who Speak” at Hong Kong House.
• Nancy Ma is well known to us as an Australian Chinese who emigrated from Hong Kong to Australia in 1985. Nancy has been discouraged all her life by many people from being an artist by profession – not because of a lack of talent, but because people doubted one can ever earn a living by being an artist. Well, Nancy never allowed her dream to be extinguished.
• I congratulate Nancy, and look forward to more exhibitions being held here in Hong Kong House in future.
