Hold on! First at all, I would like to have a photo of you all – would you mind shouting Cheers when I
count to 3 – I will make sure you will receive this photo via email.

Good evening everyone. Thank you for being here tonight to support me, to mark the opening of my Exhibition, and be part of this great evening.

It is really a great honour for me to have my work exhibited at Hong Kong House. Being a Hong Kong born Chinese Australian, I am deeply feel proud of this.

I am also very proud to be associated with the City of Sydney Chinese New Year Festival and be part of the celebration events.

I would like to thank Mr Steve Barclay, director of Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office - Government of the Hong Kong SAR HKETO not only as the organiser of my Exhibition, but also as a major sponsor. Thank you Mr Barclay.

I would also like to thank Gabby Chan (the Chair) and Daphne Lowe (the Vice Chair) of Australasian Arts and Stageworks as co-organiser of my Exhibition

I thank you The Hon Victor Dominello, Minister for Citizenship and Communities, and Minister for Aboriginal Affairs as the guest of honour to officially open my Exhibition. I was deeply moved when I was told the minister was going to drive 5 hours to the country after the Opening. Thank you Minister.

I sincerely thank Cr Clover Moore, Lord Mayor of Sydney to be here with us this evening – Once again it is my great honour

Jan Guy, Subject Chair, Ceramics, Sydney College of the Arts, the University of Sydney. My PhD supervisor, you are wonderful and supportive as always

Mr Stepan Kerkyasharian, Chair and CEO of Community Relations Commission (you reminded me of 1994 when Alex and I received our 1st multicultural marketing award from CRC. We have received a total of 5 awards since then. Cr Pat Reilly, Mayor of Willoughby - the area where I live, Cr Robert Kok – Chair of Chinese New Year Festival Advisory Group and Deputy Mayor of Sydney, The Hon Helen Sham-Ho (a great old friend and the first Chinese parliamentary member in Australia), Cr Annie Tang, Cr Judith Rutherford, Yvonne Fung and Dee Tayor-Graham thank you for your great support to me

Katie Young, Angeline Oyang, Rob Moffact, Dion Woo, Peter Wu, you are my great friends. You are always there when I need you.

We missed our old friend The Hon Henry Tsang and Donna Tsang this evening. Henry called and had to leave for an emergency overseas few days ago. I wish them well

The last, certainly not the lease I would like to thank – someone who is very important in my life, without his support I am able to become an artist and do what I like. He is not handsome but very talented and professional as many of you already know – he is great at everything he does – when I need a solution in art making, he always has an answer for me, when I need strong hand to pack a kiln, he is there. He is always there to support me 24/7. He designed my invitation, my website, helped plan the installation of my artwork and installed them for me. A great man - He calls himself a slave ….. who is he ?........

I also miss our son Nat. He is now in New York. I wish he is here to share this great time with me.
